Key Stage 3 Drama

All English teachers teach Drama at Key Stage 3 within English lessons, once per fortnight, in line with the National Literacy Strategy.

Schemes of work are relevant to the experiences of each year and also incorporate citizenship

Shakespeare Show
All Year 8 pupils are involved in the annual Shakespeare Show which takes place in the last week of the summer term. Pupils perform scenes form chosen Shakespeare plays; the backdrop to the performances being research on Shakespeare’s theatre, costume, set design etc.

Year 8 plays are presented to an external invited audience, in conjunction with an Art exhibition and Music performances.
