Humanities
Geography and History are taught within the Humanities Faculty at Wade Deacon High School. There is a stimulating learning environment including a well used interactive whiteboard in all of our classrooms. Using our two class sets of laptop computers, pupils have access to interactive ICT-based lessons, and also personal study after school hours. The faculty keeps an extensive range of resources for pupils on the school network, and even developed its own revision website for GCSE History.
Pupils in Years 7 and 8 have three humanities lessons each week, pupils in Year 9 have five lessons, and our GCSE pupils enjoy between two and four weekly lessons, depending on their options choices.
